Plot: When Casey was 8yo, her father, a Police Captain and her mother were murdered. Orphaned and left with unanswered questions, Casey and her siblings narrowly escaped death, but not the scars, the horrific ordeal. 15 years later, Casey, now a detective in the CI/OC, receives an invitation too dangerous to accept, yet too good to simply dismiss. She warily accepts the invitation and is faced with the gruesome revelation about her tragic past. . The plot development is very strong and Rousell brings the reader into the live action very quickly. Rich details of the thriller never cease to amaze at every turn of the page. The main character's life journey allure the readers. . . An intriguing story line with many layers and twist and turns. It captures you from the very beginning and the further you get into it the harder it gets to put it down. . The characters and their dialogues are near to life. The main character Casey is very bold and attractive, and the reader feels an attachment with her. . The author has a firm grasp on human emotions and their instincts, having the accomplished ability to transfer them to the written page which makes this book a compelling read . . This is extremely well written captivating book. Rousell has a superb way with words and is able to keep the readers easily engulfed in the crime thriller. It is laudable how he wove this thriller. .
