Legends of Ogre Gate by Jermey Bai @issthdeathblade Ever wondered about what are Chinese novels? This book is a good gateway to enter he realm of Chinese novels. . Plot Sunan and Bao couldn’t have been born more different. He came from a fishing village in the far northeast. She hailed from a noble house in a huge metropolis. But they shared a common trait: they hated the Demon Emperor. Both of them experienced tragedy because of him, and both swore vows to end his life. But how could two youngsters with no skill or experience take on the most powerful entity in the world? The answer was simple: qi. The Demon Emperor himself brought qi with him when he invaded their world, a mysterious energy that fused with the lands and everything that lived in them. And when qi was combined with traditional martial arts, ordinary humans could perform extraordinary feats of prowess. This was the era in which martial heroes arose, and kung fu flourished. This was the era in which the common people fought back against the Demon Emperor. This was the era of Sunan and Bao. . First of all I would like to talk about the cover, OMG it's mind-blowing, artistic and magical. And the book is good thick one. I love big books😍 . I never read a Chinese novel before and I was fascinated, thoroughly enjoyed the plot and easy writing style. Main characters were realistic and developed well. . .
I can undoubtedly call this book "epic", the world building was enchanting. The action was potent. It was fast paced so the 800 pages seemed slipping through your hands. . .
I would definitely recommend you guys to pick this book up if you want to diversify your shelves and this book will get 5 stars from me.
